This heart of 5.04 carats Real Colombian emerald from the Muzo mines has a nice commercial quality with a medium bluish green color and brilliant crystal, the natural flaws or birthmarks present in this emerald are not foreign particles, they are small internal flashes that appear and disappear when the emerald tilts, we the traders call them "internal mirrors" but these flaws do not threaten the integrity of the stone. If this emerald would not have these visible birthmarks, its sale price would be much higher, and the certificate of authenticity would be necessary because it would look very similar to the lab grown without blemishes.

The 18k solid yellow gold setting obviously had to be hand-crafted to suit the heart cut emerald, in order for it to achieve a perfect fit within it.
